Chilean priest who helped steal babies from unwed mothers will be moved to Spain, Catholic Church confirms 

The Catholic Church in Chile confirmed that Father Gerardo Joannon ‘actively participated’ in at least two cases of illegal adoptions during the 1970s and 1980s. The priest allegedly conducted funeral masses for the stolen babies. He will be sent to Spain for a period of ‘reflection,’ said Father Alex Vigueras, who led the internal probe.
