THE past number of years has given us the unpleasant opportunity to
see how so many people have been affected by the impact of massive
sexual abuse and the response by the Catholic Church (‘‘Police a part of
church cover-up: former DPP’’ Herald 23/6).
Had the cover-up not been so extensive, many people, including my brother, may not have had to experience both the sexual abuse and the years he has, and will, live with it.
