The papal nuncio on Catholic challenges

In his first Irish interview, the nuncio talks about the Catholic Church’s response to sexual abuse allegations and other challenges, past and present.
Since Archbishop Charles Brown became papal nuncio three years ago he has overseen the appointment of 10 new bishops to Ireland’s 26 dioceses, with potential of more this year. With this quiet revolution afoot the Archbishop talks about the process. Ireland’s Catholic bishops have been praised by the papal nuncio, Archbishop Charles Brown, for the compassion with which they dealt with marriage-equality issues before May’s referendum.
