Sexual abuse by clerics embarrassing church – Catholic Bishops

The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria on Tuesday raised the alarm over cases of sexual abuse committed by a few clerics, saying such a behaviour had greatly wounded the church. The organisation therefore demanded that priests, consecrated persons working in Catholic institutions in Nigeria should ensure the protection of every child and vulnerable adult.
