An Australian senator has claimed he has a police list which names 28
prominent people, including a former prime minister, as suspected
pedophiles. Liberal Senator Bill Heffernan didn't name any names
but called on Attorney-General George Brandis to expand the child abuse
royal commission so that it includes the legal fraternity.
He told a Senate estimates hearing in Canberra he had provided the commission with documents, one naming the alleged pedophiles including "a whole lot of prominent people."
