Pennsylvania grand jury details decades of abuse

Report claims hundreds of children fell victim to dozens of priests in Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown.
Fourteen years after the national clergy sex abuse scandal rocked the Catholic Church in the United States, the faithful are still reading about new revelations of priests who abused children and bishops who allegedly failed their flock by covering up the abuse and moving abusive priests around to other assignments.
A new grand jury report in Pennsylvania states that at least 50 priests in the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown abused hundreds of children and that diocesan leaders systematically concealed the abuse to protect the Church’s reputation.
