Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan is calling for state lawmakers
to eliminate the statute of limitations for child sex crimes, following
the sentencing yesterday of former U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert to 15 months in prison for making illegal cash withdrawals.
Hastert was accused trying to pay off a former student who claimed that Hastert molested him decades ago when Hastert was his high school wrestling coach.
