I am responding to the Readers’ Forum letter of May 28 by Bernie and
Cindy Leech, “Who is being protected, church or its children?” I am
proud of them for speaking out. We need to stand behind this couple, who
are grieving the loss of their son, Corey, and the betrayal of Brother
Stephen Baker.
All of the abuse perpetrated by Catholic priests has got to stop. It has nothing to do with the Catholic religion. It is these deviant men who enter the priesthood and hide behind the holy cloth of God.
