Several members of the Albert family have come forward with allegations
of sexual abuse by clergy. In 1996 they filed a lawsuit against the
Catholic Diocese of Wichita. The case, however, was dismissed because
the statute of limitations in civil cases had expired. The building
behind them still bears the name “St. Joseph’s Children’s Home,” but is
now an apartment building.
