The Government has published its terms of reference for a Commission of Investigation into Mother and Baby Homes and Certain Related Matter. The three-person commission chaired by judge Yvonne Murphy will be given three years to complete its work.
The commission will examine the period between 1922 and 1998 at 14 named institutions and a number of county homes. A confidential committee will talk to those who lived and worked in there.
