Diocese says it is considering an appeal to the Supreme Court. The Diocese of Portsmouth is liable to pay compensation for alleged sexual abuse by a priest, the Court of Appeal has ruled.
The decision, by a majority of two judges to one, makes dioceses
liable for the wrongdoings of its clergy and clears the way for similar
