The Archbishop of Dublin was moved to tears as he listened to the story of a clerical abuse survivor on Friday. Archbishop Diarmuid Martin also paid tribute to Vatican Commission
member Marie Collins, another survivor, whom he said had “turned the
tables” on the Church Authorities.
Speaking at a Child Safeguarding and Protection Service event at the Holy Cross Diocesan Centre, he said “there is no room for complacency” with how the church deals with child abuse. He stressed that survivors of clerical abuse were still coming forward.
