A Hamilton father who photographed and videotaped himself sexually
abusing his daughter before uploading the footage to a child
exploitation website has been sentenced to almost 16 years in jail. The
47-year-old - who has permanent name suppression to protect the
identity of his six victims - was sentenced to 15 years and nine months
jail when he appeared in the High Court in Hamilton on Thursday.
He must serve a minimum non-parole period of eight years for what Justice Peter Woodhouse described as an "odious" series of offences. The man sat head bowed in the dock as details of the extent of his offending was revealed.
