A Kane County Catholic parish must divulge the author of a letter that
claimed a parishioner's son had sexually abused a child, an appeals
court said in a ruling that became public Tuesday.
Affirming a lower court ruling, the 2nd Appellate Court opinion ordered the church and the Rockford Diocese to reveal the writer's identity to the mother of the child alleged to have committed the abuse.
