THE Territory’s Children’s
Commissioner has described as “indefensible” reports that children in
care are being repeatedly abused. Figures released last week show 110 cases of substantiated harm involving 95 kids in care.
The figures were revealed within the Department of Children and Families and the Children’s Commissioner’s annual reports. It is the first year of formal monitoring of children in out-of-home care by the Children’s Commissioner.
