Marist ignored allegations that a now notorious paedophile teacher
was sexually abusing students, instead shuffling him between schools, in
one case even promoting him to principal, and failing to refer
complaints to police, the royal commission has found.
The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse delivered its formal findings on the cases of Brother John Chute, also known as Brother Kostka, and another Marist brother, Gregory Sutton, on Friday.
