POLICE are investigating two cases of alleged historic sexual abuse at a boarding school dubbed the Catholic Eton.
North Yorkshire Police confirmed one man has been arrested and enquires are ongoing at Ampleforth College, near Thirsk. The school, which opened in 1802 and is run by the Benedictine monks and lay staff of Ampleforth Abbey, is being investigated by the Goddard Inquiry into child sexual abuse.
