The royal commission's third public hearing has heard confronting testimony from those who grew up in the Lismore children's home which was run by the Anglican Church between the 1940s and 1980s. Former residents described humiliation, deprivation and arbitrary punishment by staff, as well as sexual abuse at the hands of clergy.
