A lawsuit against a former Cambria County Catholic priest was tossed by a Blair County Judge on Friday because it didn’t fall within the state’s statute of limitations guidelines. In her ruling, Blair County Judge Jolene G. Kopriva called the two sisters’ claims “untimely” because they were filed more than three decades after incidents against them occurred.
“At times we reach that point in law, owing either to binding precedent or statutory authority, where a wrong may regrettably have no redress,” the judge wrote, according to a story published in Sunday’s Altoona Mirror.
