Sinead O’Connor passes on proposed awards show appearance with Pope Francis

Nothing compares to this inane idea. Sinead O’Connor has revealed that she was approached by producers of the American Music Awards to appear as a musical guest with Pope Francis. On Sunday, TV Guide reported that the Irish singer said that her invitation to perform at the annual awards show next month was rescinded after producers couldn't get the Pope to agree to participate in the stunt.
