Not an ounce of fat is on this clever piece of political theatre from
the king of absurdist satire, Shaun Micallef. As a Rudd-like former
prime minister, Micallef is deliciously self-absorbed and painfully
insecure as he does his utmost to avoid divulging anything to the
journalist (Lucy Honigman) ghost-writing his memoir.
He is pushed further into a corner with the arrival of Lachy Hulme (in a spectacular turn as himself), whom he has chosen to play him in a mini-series. Brilliantly mad and beautifully true, with lovely video link appearances by John Clarke.
