In the closing days of the New York State legislative session, Senate
majority leaders had an opportunity to act as true leaders: They could
have protected the children of New York and allowed justice for those
who were raped and molested as children.
The state also had an opportunity to become a leader in much-needed statute of limitations reform for victims of child sexual abuse, and to remove itself from the list of the worst states in the nation when it comes to protecting children from predators and allowing justice for victims.
