Attorney Mitchell Garabedian on unlocking the Catholic Church's Secret Files

Boston attorney Mitchell Garabedian (CGS’71, CAS’73) has represented more than 1,000 survivors of clergy sexual abuse. He was able to get into the public record explosive church documents that had been sealed by a judge; those documents led to the Boston Globe’s first Spotlight story on the scandal. The Globe would win a Pulitzer and actor Stanley Tucci would portray the crusading lawyer in the 2015 Academy Award–winning film Spotlight.
