He said it wasn't easy, but he wanted to do right by parishioners who came to him for help. He kept quiet about his role for decades, but after his archdiocese filed for bankruptcy, he felt it was necessary to come clean to parishioners.
Father Vincent Paul Chavez, of St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Parish and Catholic school said during one of his recent homilies he decided to come clean.
